Friday.
Finally.
Time for some of this!
Busy week with work. I've been slammed with new student applications. Seems the current economic status isn't affecting people's desire to further their education. Good news for me! I will be glad to finally log off the computer. Even though I have to look at it every time I walk into the office, or even by the office, knowing that it is off for a few days is nice. And ... thanks to Cam's spring break next week, I have a 5 day weekend coming up. Even better. Headed to mom and dad's for a while. Looking forward to spending some time with them. I know Cam is excited to have some three-on- three time. Me? Well I'm sure I'll be able to find something to do. After all, it is Vegas. :)
Let's see ... Wednesday my hubby brought me home a dozen long-stemmed roses for our Anniversary, they were beautiful, and a nice big cup of Starbucks for my drive into the office. Oh - and we hit the powerball. Okay, so we only won $3, but still. It doesn't take much to excite us these days. Skate practices, work, appointments and tackling Cam's homework have taken up much of the week, as it always seems to. Busy is good, and lack of drama is even better. Cam is officially on Spring Break after today, and he absolutely deserves it. He's been working hsi tail off lately, reading his book(s) for book reports, memorizing poems, and mentally preparing for Field Day. Serious stuff here, folks. We'll have the exra protein for breakfast, his running shoes are all spit-polished and ready to go, and we've traded the normal water bottle for an extra big one full of Gatorade. Should be an exciting day. I'll keep you posted on any amazing accomplishments and/or ribbons from the event.
Tomorrow night is "date night" for Bryan and I. So looking forward to that. Cam will be with Grandma and Papa Peterson for a couple of days, spoiled every second. Aren't grandparents wonderful?!! We have our annual reservations at the Salt Cellar to celebrate our anniversary. I can already taste the San Remo Shrmip appetizer and Lobster. Probably should stop eating now to prepare my body for the calories. At any rate, it will be nice to have some adult time; I think it's been a few months since Bryan and I have been out together. Much too long!
Seriously nothing else exciting. Just a brief rundown of our week. The weather is gorgeous, and we are enjoying EVERY minute of it. Granted, it's only March, but we can't help but think what the temps will be like in a couple of months. Hopefully there is no bad luck in sight for your Friday the 13th! Have a great weekend! I still haven't downloaded the skate videos yet, but will do so this weekend. Promise!
